As the autumn season gets under way, BBC Studioworks sees an uptick in returning productions. With 15 returning titles, ranging from live entertainment programmes and star-studded chat shows, to comedy panels, long-running game shows and lively political debates.
Live Broadcasting
Returning shows set to broadcast live from BBC Studioworks this autumn include the nation’s favorite dance show, Strictly Come Dancing (BBC Studios for BBC One), political debate show Peston (ITV Studios for ITV), topical commentary show, The Last Leg (Open Mike for Channel 4) and the annual fundraising extravaganza, Children in Need (BBC Studios for BBC One).
Post Production
The companion show to Strictly Come Dancing, It Takes Two (BBC Studios for BBC Two), returns to BBC Studioworks’ Elstree post production village where five Avid Symphony suites are dedicated to the programme.
Chat shows
Both of the UK’s biggest chat shows, The Jonathan Ross Show (Hot Sauce for ITV) and The Graham Norton Show (So Television for BBC One) return for their autumn runs in BBC Studioworks’ Studio TC1 at Television Centre. Other returning chat/panel shows opting to choose BBC Studioworks again include, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice (Love Productions for Channel 4) and The Apprentice: You’re Fired (Boundless and MGM Television for BBC Two).
Game Shows
Long-running game shows, Pointless (Remarkable TV for BBC One) and The Chase (ITV Studios for ITV), are continuing their 2019 BBC Studioworks residencies as they both record blocks for the autumn.
Comedy
The laughs are set to ring across BBC Studioworks’ studio operations as the following comedy shows also return, Celebrity Juice (Talkback for ITV2), Have I Got News For You (Hat Trick for BBC One), The Russell Howard Hour (Avalon for Sky One) and Mock the Week (Angst Productions for BBC One).
