Pointless 1000

BBC Studioworks has provided full studio and technical support for all 1,000 episodes of the ever-popular BBC One quiz show, Pointless.

Produced by Remarkable Television, part of Endemol Shine Group for BBC One, Pointless and BBC Studioworks have worked together since the show’s infancy. From 2009, the pilot and the first eight series were facilitated by BBC Studioworks at its Television Centre studios and the production moved to Studioworks’ Elstree studio complex in 2013.

To celebrate reaching this significant landmark, the Pointless presenters have switched roles. Broadcasting on Monday 16 January, the 1,000th episode of Pointless sees Richard Osman take on frontman duties as a presenter, while Alexander Armstrong becomes the Pointless friend behind the desk as the keeper of obscure facts and figures.
