El Hormiguero 3.0 chooses Television Centre for anniversary show with Will Smith
BBC Studioworks will facilitate the recording of the long-reigning Spanish entertainment show, El Hormiguero 3.0, in Studio TC1 at Television Centre today.
The daily show, produced by 7 y Acción, will see Hollywood actor, Will Smith, interviewed by the host of the show, Pablo Motos, in front of a live studio audience for its celebratory 2,000th episode.
BBC Studioworks is providing the show with full studio and technical services and will be supporting the production with its audio, engineering, electrical and scenic crews. With a four-camera configuration, in addition to a super slow-motion camera, a polecam and minicams, the 7 y Acción team will also make use of BBC Studioworks’ adjoining production galleries and broadcast technology, flexible audience rostra and tailored ancillary areas.
“After 13 years of live broadcasts, we’re proud to celebrate our 2,000th show in partnership with BBC Studioworks at its renowned Television Centre facility,” said Pablos Matos, presenter of El Hormiguero 3.0.
A ratings success, El Hormiguero 3.0 focuses on comedy, science, and guest interviews in front of a live audience and has been running since September 2006. Each episode features a celebrity guest (often international) who are involved throughout the show by taking part in various stunts and experiments. We await to see how Will Smith tackles this exciting format!
