BBC Studioworks to host The Graham Norton Show

BBC Studioworks’ 10,800 sq. ft. Studio TC1 will become home to The Graham Norton Show from 5 April.

Produced by So Television Ltd and commencing its 23rd series, BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show will record 12 weekly episodes at Television Centre between April-June.

Renowned as an ‘audience-inclusive’ production, and one of the hottest recording tickets in town, the primetime show will benefit from TC1’s configurable seating rostra for its 600 audience members. With an eight-camera configuration including a jib and audio supplied via a Studer Vista X, So Television Ltd will also make use of BBC Studioworks’ cutting-edge technologies, flexible facilities and tailored ancillary areas.

The recording window also ties in perfectly with the opening of the wider Television Centre site. BBC Studioworks’ facility is part of a mixed-use development and includes a range of independent bars, restaurants, a gym, a spa, a cinema and a private members club from Soho House all on the doorstep, ensuring a vibrant community for production companies, talent and audience members alike.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming So Television and The Graham Norton Show to Television Centre and we shall be making the move as seamless and effortless as possible,” said Meryl McLaren, Commercial Manager, BBC Studioworks. “We believe we offer the perfect location, combining the ‘home’ of British Television with a wealth of amenities available to all.”

BBC Studioworks is adept at handling large audience-based shows across multiple genres. Credits include Hot Sauce TV’s ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ for ITV1, BBC Studios’ Strictly Come Dancing for BBC One, Hat Trick’s ‘Room 101’ for BBC One, Sky’s ‘The Russell Howard Hour’ for Sky One, CPL Production’s ‘A League of Their Own’ for Sky One and Talkback’s ‘Celebrity Juice’ for ITV2.

The Graham Norton Show is broadcast on BBC One on Fridays at 10.35pm. Guests for the first episode, which airs on 6 April, include British star of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and ‘Girl on a Train’ Emily Blunt, and ‘American Office’ star John Krasinski (also real-life husband and wife) together in their new horror movie ‘A Quiet Place’, and Kylie Minogue, who will be performing her new single ‘Stop me from falling’ from her album ‘Golden’.
